How Life Sciences Companies Should Refresh Their Investor Deck Before Conference Season

Investor conferences often bring new audiences to your story. Taking time to refresh your corporate deck can help ensure your messaging is current, clear, and aligned with what investors are looking for.

Ahead of a new round of conferences over the next few weeks with investor interest in biotech still high, now is a good time to update your messaging and corporate deck. Refining your deck is a great way to convey progress,  build momentum towards key updates, and keep the audience, who may include many investors who are new to the story, engaged.

Here are a few thoughts about how to keep things fresh:

  • Ensure timeliness of key messages.
Understand how your 2026 messages have landed, and where you need to make adjustments or strengthen content - particularly around your value drivers for this year. Refine positioning based on any broader changing industry or market dynamics.

  • Identify areas to highlight progress.
If you are working towards significant milestones, it is a good opportunity to provide incremental updates and showcase recent wins that let investors know you are on track. Reiterating prior guidance and timelines is also important to bolster confidence.

  • Refresh data & visuals.
Include the most recent and relevant data points and take the opportunity to improve the visualization of data-driven content to ensure it is digestible and easy to understand. Make sure to spell out key conclusions so your audience is not required to do so themselves.

  • Reassess your audience.
Understand if and how your audience may be shifting, or if you are presenting at a conference with a different demographic. For instance, a conference with high health care generalists attendance may require tailoring of your message to meet their needs and expectations.

Once you’ve completed your update, you’ll be ready for this next phase of conference presentations and one-on-ones. We also recommend creating both short and long versions—so you can flex for one-minute or 30-minute meetings—and leveraging appendices to provide additional depth for investors who want to go further.

As always - your deck is your currency. Keep it fresh, consistent, and ready to perform when opportunity calls.
